You Have Not Because You Ask Not…

I wrote a few petitions to present to Jesus while in your personal prayer time. I encourage you to invite the Holy Spirit into your space where you plan to pray. The Scriptures were written to guide us in all things to include our prayers. Open your heart and ask with full transparency and sincerity. Surely, God hears the cries of his children, and I believe goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.

1. Ask God for the gifts and calling that people have not been using or of those who have fallen or died to be REDISTRIBUTED to you.
“What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.” Revelation 3:7

2. Ask God to stretch your understanding.
“Making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:2-5

3. Ask God to release a new wave of revelation that will help you progress into effectiveness.
That the God our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the Saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his feat might.” Ephesians 1:17-19

4. Ask God to help you pass along Kingdom resources.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” Romans 11:36

5. Ask God to help you share and not hoard out of fear.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Proverbs 11:24-25
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” Hebrews 13:16

6. Ask God for new prophetic insight and an ability to see in the spiritual realm at a deeper level.
“He instructed me and said to me, “Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.” Daniel 9:22
Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” Luke 24:45
I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose to you.” John 16:12-15

7. Ask God to point out to me what is not needed in your life.
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43: 18-19
“You did not choose me, but I choses you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16
“When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”  Luke 18:22

8. Ask God to help you operate in joy, love and unity.
“Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” Philippians 2:2
“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” 1 Peter 3:8

9. Ask God to help me love people that are different than yourself.
“This is my command, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12
“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.” Luke 6:32

10. Ask God to help you refuel with His Word (love and joy)!
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5
So we do not lose her. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16
