This post like many I have written in the past will need mediating on. The goodness of God will not be immediately perceived as it will upon deep meditation. I’ve attached an image of what I felt was the best visual representation of what I am about to write.
The mind of a human being is the “command post” for the enemy of humanity-satan. It’s where he would rather set up shop in order to be given permission to the true place of authority-the human heart. He gets no glory here ladies and gents. None whatsoever. I am responsible for sharing truth as I receive it, and part of that truth is identifying the root causes of many of the issues we face as human beings.
The devil is a tormentor. He is constantly speaking words in order to defeat, breakdown, abuse and control you. The Lord created your mind in such a dynamic and supernatural way that the enemy knows that if he can set up his agenda within your thoughts he can gain entry. Let me explain how. Each and every thought that comes into your mind is a seed. Those seeds connect life with emotions and with words that affect our behavior. For this reason the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul said, “The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.” 2 Corinthians 10:5-6 MSG
Therefore, you destroy every proud obstacle that keeps you from knowing God by capturing (taking authority) your rebellious thoughts and teaching them to obey Christ. So I ask this question, why if satan lost all power and authority is he still able to gain access to the will and emotions of men? Then I received this answer, People will not be set completely free because they truly will not close the door to satan. Every emotion must come into alignment and agreement with God. Some would ask me, Ciara how do I do that? How do I sincerely take captive my thoughts, or realign my emotions in agreement to God?
Here is my answer: By giving your mind completely over to the Word of God. You can not live by faith if you are thinking wrong. Here is the immediate difference between Jesus and satan in all areas: Jesus leads while satan controls. Jesus will never force you to give him your free will. He will always lead you to a place of peace in order to hear him clearly. Everything Jesus did leading up to and on the Cross at Calvary was for one reason and one reason alone, R-E-S-T-O-R-A-T-I-O-N. Restoration of your spirit back to right relationship with the Father, restoration of your soul and restoration of your liberty.
The human soul rarely gets instant healing. In fact, soul-healing requires transformation. You may experience immediate deliverance from demonic oppression and gain immediate mental clarity, however in order to remain free the soul needs to be transformed. For example, if you were rejected as a child your soul might have been gravely wounded by that act of rejection. That does not mean you were immediately dealing with a demon of rejection but instead the act of another which can immediately alter your thinking. It caused an emotional wound to be stained on our heart and soul. Many who were rejected as children grow up with a rejected mentality. This involves wrong thinking, again a person cannot live by faith if they are thinking wrong. What happens is each time this person encounters situations of rejection in life they have two options to choose from:
- Refuse the feeling of rejection by standing firmly on God’s word of affirmation and confirmation.
- Accept the rejection and permit it to grow to become a torment to their soul which if not properly released to Jesus then becomes demonic oppression by the spirit of rejection.
This is where the soul begins to reveal signs of needing healing. Unfortunately, most hurt people go to other hurt people instead of the One person who can heal them, Almighty Healer-Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ can bring healing to an injured soul and redirection to your thought life. When we fix our eyes solely on Jesus, miracles happen. Our lives must be centrally focused on him, for the life of a human being moves in the direction of their dominant thought. Everything God builds, he builds on relational foundations. That is why your thought life must be taken captive and required to obey Christ. This cannot be done if you do not have a relationship with Jesus. The mind will reject this notion as foreign and rebel. The enemy wants your thoughts to be focused on what is falling apart in your life rather than the Creator of your life. James gave us a divine strategy for this form of attack, he said, “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 NLT
Any environment where Jesus Christ is truly leading naturally becomes a hostile environment for satan and his hordes. Thrones that have been built within your mind and heart will begin to crumble at the leading of the Lord. Those thrones which have been safe havens for iniquity and sin will be exposed to the truth which is the Word of God and life changing power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Let me make this point clear: There is no statute of limitation for sin and iniquity. Therefore, spiritual darkness is permitted to linger within the confines of a life that is unrepented of sin whether known or unknown. Sin that has been permeating throughout ancestral lineage must be repented of in order to close those doors. God has been God a very long time and will never let you down. He knows what he is doing even when you cannot see or perceive what he is doing in secret. He knows you know nothing of your lineage which could be permitting satan free-reign in your life and family. That is why he sent us, The Helper! The Holy Spirit is here to bring revelation, give guidance while comforting you in the process. He will never leave you. He will remain in you as your internal compass, if permitted.
Jesus performed many miracles while he lived on the earth. Roughly 40 miracles were recorded in the four gospels which included nature miracles like calming the storm, healing men and women from physical deformities and biological illnesses, and freeing people from the power of evil spirits. He is still performing these same miracles today throughout the earth in those who are allowing him to. Perhaps you are in the midst of a financial storm, mental storm, relational storm that you need Jesus to calm for you. Perhaps you are suffering from a biological illness that modern medicine has not found a cure for, only offered treatment. Perhaps you have a loved one that suffers from a mental illness that takes you through emotional roller coasters that are exhausting. These are areas where Jesus specializes in. This is why I write, to expose his nature, his hope and most of all his heart. Jesus wants you and your loved ones totally free! Freely he gave so that you and your loved ones can receive. You may be suffering, struggling or just numb, either way your greatest need has been taken care of on the Cross at Calvary. The greatest need of mankind is forgiveness. He is alive today and came out of the grave just for you and I. If you would say, Ciara I am one of those people you mentioned above, know of someone or have had a hard time accepting love throughout life as a result of deep rooted rejection I would like for you to say this prayer with me which I wrote by the leading of the Holy Spirit. “Heavenly Father, I come before you surrendering all that is me to you. I acknowledge that in you is life and without you there is death. I acknowledge the finished work of The Cross is available for me today just as it was thousands of years ago. I would like to partake in the full measure of what your Son Jesus Christ offers. I repent completely of being a willing participant with sin. I want to be made whole today in every area that makes me a person. I want complete redemption of my mind, soul and body. I want to invite you into my heart to truly be the Lord of my life, the savior of my soul and redeemer of my eternity. I willfully invite you into my heart Jesus and ask that you drive out all the darkness within me. Darkness that I may not know of. I request that you remove all iniquity from my heart, false teachings from my memory, and unforgiveness within me. I freely repent of holding inside of my soul the offense that has kept me bound for so many years. I want to forgive every and anyone who has willfully wronged me. I release ___________(name the person(s) here) from the offense, pain, memory, heartache associated in that memory to you. I forgive them Lord. I want to be known as your Son/Daughter (speak your birth gender) with no confusion. Holy Spirit I believe in you and repent for ever unknowingly blaspheming you. Please reveal yourself to me daily. I invite your revelation, intimacy and friendship into my life. Jesus, make yourself known to me in new ways from this day forward. Holy Spirit surprise me with new revelation of Jesus. Thank you for your sacrifice and healing power. I receive your healing deep within the depths of my soul. Father only you can break any and all soul-ties that I might be entangled in. Free me Father! Free me forever. Father, your words says that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I am calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to save, deliver and redeem me. Therefore I now consider myself saved by your grace and restored by your mercy!” Amen!
