You are uniquely designed. Designed to withstand car accidents, football injuries, skateboard wrecks, painful break-ups, and especially dental visits. You are strong! Your health doesn’t fail because it wants to. It fails because something greater than itself is not ingested daily.
The Blood of Jesus is both literal and figurative in nature. It is multidimensional and yet you and I can have our own experience with the Blood of Jesus daily if we would like. We have a choice to engage with the literal Blood of Jesus by faith. In Luke 22:19-20, Jesus provided us all with the significance of the communion elements during a conversation he had with his Disciples. Have you ever asked, why is bread significant or why is wine significant? I’ve asked. I’ve asked why did Jesus need to give humanity figurative examples to understand the magnitude of his sacrifice? Here is why, they both represent the broken Body of Christ and the new covenant agreement between God and His children. Nothing else written or affirmed has this kind of power. The Blood of Jesus signifies new membership, new agreement, new awareness, new identity, new life, and new eternity. Without the Blood of Jesus, there would be no life in any form of creation. There would only be the eternal promise of death.
During most of my fasts, I take communion daily as a form of receiving supernatural strength and healing. Everyday since August 14, 2016, I’ve taken the communion elements. Each day I take a piece of flat bread and a small cup of grape juice into my body. I can say, just shy of 14 days with no food, only water I was just as strong as if I had three meals per day with vitamins and daily exercise. Continue reading “There’s Power in the Blood of Jesus”

There will be times when your faith will be rocked to the core, your vision becomes blurry and your understanding of simple matters become too difficult to for you. Ever experienced a season like this? It’s during these times – these hard times, that your character becomes tested and your belief in the one true God gets tried by fire. What happens during the testing of your faith is what will determine what you become equipped for in the future. The testing of your faith produces endurance! What do you do when your name, family and career have been chosen as an specific assignments by satan and his cohorts? What do you down when you notice the bank account balance is getting low and you might not have enough to pay monthly expenses to keep the lights and heat on and food on the table?
Here’s what you do: Continue reading “Trusting God”

Caring is symbolic of having a heart condition known as compassion. A heart of compassion exposes your most inner vulnerabilities to the vile and inhumane personalities of this world. There is such a thing called grace, to cover such a heart. The world would like for you to think, having a heart that cares is actually a human defect, but God uses such a heart to return souls back into his kingdom. Compassion is the main emotion Jesus operated through when completing his assignment here on earth. He had a heart full of compassion for you. He cared about what would happen to every human being if he did not do what was needed. He also knew caring was not enough, which required him to act in order to fulfill the mandate on his life.
If caring was all that was needed, every human being alive would be saved. But it’s not. If caring was all that was needed to heal the woes of this world, we’d have a perfect atmosphere without pain, suffering, malice, shame or hatred. As we know it, caring is just not enough. Action is required by my fellow-man to fulfill what God purposed mankind to do. Continue reading “If Caring Was Enough”

What is transparency? Is it that section of your speech where you “feel” you’re being open, honest and vulnerable? I believe it’s that place that one goes to where every thing is unveiled to God without reservation. It’s that place where there’s no more murmuring, complaining or blaming but more so ownership. Transparency is what I choose to call a destination, an action, or even a description of oneself.
I often ask myself, why aren’t more people completely transparent with God? Don’t they realize he sees everything, hears every thought and lives everywhere? I believe this word sums up the answer to these questions: Self-Preservation.
God is not looking for the perfect role model, the most secure men or humblest of women. He wants you and all of your imperfections to trust Him. Trust him when you don’t have the answers and need them. Trust him when you have a deadline and still have not been given guidance. He can be trusted with all of your present, past and yes even future mess, but only if you’ll be totally transparent with Him. Whether you whisper, speak, cry, scream or say nothing at all…he still hears your thoughts and longs for them to be completely transparent.
Transparency is when you and God really get down to business. Continue reading “Transparency”

Each entry into a doorway requires a person to either step up or down in order to pass “through”. Regardless if the person is immobile and forced to utilize mechanical help, or solicit the assistance of genuine bystanders. The doorway is a means to enter into or exit from one location to another. The doorsteps of your life can be stumbling blocks for your mission if not carefully measured.
I submit to you, it is imperative where you place your feet when in motion towards your next season. Your destiny does not wait for you to position your feet in perfectly aligned places in order to get there faster. No, your destiny awaits your motivation to stay on the right track. How often have you been distracted from a dream or vision you once held? How many new-year resolutions have you begun only to experience sheer failure less than one month into the new-year? Watching what you align your steps to, means you’re watching how you’re getting to your destiny. Continue reading “Doorsteps”

Time is inconsequential. It’s relative to what is done with it and how it is used. Other than that it doesn’t quite matter. On Thursday, the Holy Spirit moved me to pay attention to the seasons and time then consider what they’re both telling me. Tell me this, would you be able to decipher what season you were in if you wore a mask? The answer would probably be yes. I certainly can tell by the temperature when it is winter, or the sun blazing on my skin when it is summer, but how about Spring or Fall? Here’s my point, if you were not accustomed to the seasons of your life would you be able to pinpoint exactly which season you were in? Think about that.
Without proper guidance and direction if you wore a mask wouldn’t you agree, confusion and lack of awareness would be prevalent? The mask I am referring to in this post is a spiritual one, often placed on you without your knowledge or awareness. The adversary (satan) enjoys slipping on “spiritual masks” over your spiritual eyes in order to prevent you from recognizing what season you are truly in. Continue reading “Time”
